Chantal Riekel

Chantal Riekel is a French-German photographer and artist based in London. She is currently developing new projects and research on the MA Photographic Studies at Westminster University (part-time). Chantal also facilitates socially-engaged arts projects (i.e for healthcare organisations) and works as a freelance photographer.

"Beautiful Decay " is a body of work looking at the mutual relationship between beauty and its decay. The explosive spread of decomposing matter and withering flowers questions our definition of beauty by its curiously sensual attribute and the intense colours.
