Natalie J Watts
(London Exhibition)

Natalie J Watts is a London-based Photographer. Currently preferring to work in the area of fashion, her background includes Burlesque and Pin Up photography. Having had work used by the BBC, Ministry of Burlesque, corsetieres Eternal Spirits and Velda Lauder, she now concentrates on editorial fashion spreads and model portfolios.

Graduating in 2007, Natalie has since move to London and spent the past 2 years working as a Photography Studio Manager. Although the day job kept things quiet on the photography front for a time, Natalie is now regularly shooting again, both on a client and collaboration basis.

Of her work, Natalie says: "Juxtaposing the beautiful with the dark and even unnerving is a necessity. My images should be more than just pretty pictures. They need to offer something more - an ethereal or darker side, which the audience can contemplate, taking time to study the different aspects each image encompasses. A lot of inspiration is taken from fairytales, dreams and myths - similarly, my photographs should convey a story, interpreted by the viewer themselves."

Natalie is currently working on an exciting new project, to be exhibited with Illustrator Charlotte Thomson in London, Spring 2010. Watch this space!
