The 3rd annual Danse Macabre exhibition was held in 2 cities in autumn 2009. The first week took place on their home turf in Nottingham and was followed by a first ever (London exhibition) the following week.
The Nottingham exhibition had 18 artists, 16 from across the UK and 2 US artists. The exhibition photos can be seen on our MySpace page.
As a treat in the afternoon before the private view started we held Dr Sketchy's Anti Art School Nottingham - a Danse Macabre Special, courtesy of www.drsketchynottingham.co.uk, where art school meets cabaret! This was attended by 30 people and was a huge success. The sketchers drew Martini from the band Maleficent, our mental mentalist friend Dee Christopher and our gorgeous Danse Macabre usherette wearing fabulous Eternal Spirits creations (thanks Susi!).
The private view was attended by 150 guests who saw a performance by Martini and were entertained by our compre and world-renowned mentalist Dee Christopher who was thoroughly awe-inspiring. Photographs of the event were taken by Sally Rose Photography.
After the private view finished the party continued a short step away at the Hand and Heart (on Derby Road).
